Solana staking is the process of locking up your SOL tokens to support the network's security and earn rewards. When you stake with us, your SOL is delegated to our validator, which uses it to validate transactions and produce blocks. In return, you receive a portion of the network's inflation rewards plus any MEV tips.

Staking is generally low-risk: your SOL stays in your wallet and we cannot access it. The main risks are: (1) Lock-up period of 2-3 days when unstaking, (2) Validator downtime affecting rewards, (3) SOL price volatility. Once you delegate your SOL, you'll start earning rewards from the next epoch (approximately 2-3 days). Rewards are automatically added to your stake account every epoch. You can monitor your rewards in real-time through your wallet.

Yes, you can request to unstake at any time. Solana has a built-in cooldown period of one epoch (approximately 2-3 days) before your SOL becomes liquid again. This is a network-level feature, not specific to OrbitFlare. There are no penalties for unstaking.
